Julia is a designer and maker of handmade bags, accessories and home decor.  Julia works mainly with wool, in particular Harris Tweed but also using other high quality cloth, including linen and up-cycling materials such as worn denim. She also likes to use industry off cuts along with eco friendly materials wherever possible to make her products as ecologically sound as possible. Julia’s products are mostly either one of a kind or small batch pieces and are created using her own designs, ensuring you are taking home a unique or limited edition item. Julia also accepts commissions, creating bespoke pieces, made to your specifications, including working with customers own cloth or items of clothing to make memory bags.

Julia works from her home studio in Stafford listening to 6Music and drinking lots of tea to keep her motivated! 
Her background is in Art and Textile design, gaining a BSc with honours from Derby University. Julia’s love of textiles, sewing and creating practical usable items naturally led to starting her business called The Bobbin Case. Julia ships her items worldwide, but also enjoys the intimacy of local markets . . . and of course Gallery@12.
