I enjoy all types of woodturning, from large diameter platters and bowls to spindle turning. I love to see the grain and colour in natural wood but I am also not averse to using colour when I believe it is warranted to enhance.
Undeniably my work has been influenced by many professional wood artists, too many to list here, whom I thank profusely for freely giving of their advice and support - many on a one to one basis. I enjoy experimentation, trying something new. Some of my creations are fundamentally utilitarian whilst others are intended as artistic forms – and some combine elements of both.
